Batched small-claims filing for las vegas township practices

A shared workflow so nearby practices file their own small claims in Las Vegas Justice Court on the same calendar, with the same templates, with minimal effort per practice. Each practice's staff are the actor of record for its own accounts.

What this is

How batching works

Core court workflow

  1. Demand letter: filled from the practice's account list; payment link to the practice's own merchant account; staff sign and mail on practice letterhead; 60-day clock tracked.
  2. Venue: patient address routed to the correct township justice court (NRS 73.010(2)). Patients who moved to Henderson, North Las Vegas, or Washoe County file there.
  3. Filing packet: complaint and affidavit (SSN, DOB, account numbers redacted to last 4); NRS 73.012 authorization letter; fee by tier; service instructions; SCRA lookup; non-military affidavit. Staff submit in Tyler eFileNV.
  4. Service: Las Vegas Township Constable or licensed process server; complete 14 days before hearing; certified-mail motion drafted if personal service fails.
  5. Hearing: designated employee appears; hearing date, evidence list, and default-judgment prerequisites tracked.
  6. Appeal: 7 calendar days from decision at LVJC, plus 3 if mailed; countdown tracked.
  7. Judgment collection: writ of execution, garnishment, and bank levy paperwork drafted from employer and bank on file, with Nevada exemption math applied (NRS 21.090, 21.105).
  8. Judgment life: 6-year renewal calendar (NRS 17.214); interest at prime plus 2 percent (NRS 17.130).

Why these practice types

A qualifying balance needs four things at once: $500 to $10,000 per patient, a reason it sits unpaid past 120 days, a practice that owns the receivable, and a patient with wages or a bank account a judgment can reach.

What the practice provides

Program defaults to approve

  1. Minimum balance to flag: $500.
  2. Minimum age: 120 days.
  3. 60-day pre-suit letter before filing.
  4. Exclude accounts already placed with a collection agency.
  5. Exclude accounts with a pending insurance claim.
  6. Hardship or charity screen before filing; each practice names who decides.
  7. Venue beyond Las Vegas Township: file where the patient moved, or exclude those defendants for now.
  8. Pursue wage garnishment and bank levy after judgment.
  9. Approve the core court workflow.
  10. Approve the EHR add-on as an option per practice.

Hi [First name],

[specific fact from their site]

Westwood Eye has recovered $ total across n small-claims cases filed by its own staff, median recovery $ per case, at $66 to $86 in filing fees per case.

Nevada lets your own employee file and appear in small claims for the practice (NRS 73.012). Filing costs $66 to $196 per case. A collection agency keeps 30 to 50 percent of what it recovers; a practice that files its own claims keeps all of it.

We do the setup. You send us one AR aging export. We screen it for eligible accounts and statute of limitations, pull your entity name from the Secretary of State, draft the demand letters and filing packets, set up a payment page on your own merchant account, and walk your office manager through eFileNV on one call. Your staff review, sign, mail, and click file. Several practices in Las Vegas Township run on the same calendar, so letters and filings go out together.
